Where is God when the doors and windows
     are boarded up and there is no way in?

Where is God when the Cathedral is shuttered?
Where is God when
     the sacraments are out of reach?
Where is God without the Eucharist?
Where is God when
     people are dying in the streets?

Where is God when the Cathedral is shuttered?
Where is God when the Church is silent
     about the injustices on the streets?
Where is God?

Where is God when the doors and windows
     are boarded up and not even light can get in?
Where is God when
     people are hungry and starving
     for righteousness?

Where is God when the Cathedral is shuttered?
In the streets, in the fields, in the homes,
     in the forests and in the lakes.
Where nothing is shuttered
     and light can freely stream in,
     there God is present.

The Cathedral is not the house of God,
     God Lives in Everything.

Where is God when the Cathedral is shuttered?
God is there
     In the people
     Standing outside
     The closed Cathedral doors.
